Exporting Customers
How to Export
- Open the Data Exchange Center from the Business menu
- Click Export on the Customers card
- The wizard shows the number of customer records available
- Click Export to CSV and choose a save location
What Gets Exported
The CSV file includes one row per active customer with all available fields: Customer Name, Company Name, Address, Address Line 2, City, State, Zip Code, Phone, Email, Mobile, Fax, Tax ID, Website, and Notes.
Using the Export
- As a template — If you have no customers yet, the export gives you a header-only CSV template
- For bulk editing — Export, modify customer details in Excel, and re-import to update records
- For mailing lists — Export your customer list to use with email marketing or direct mail services
- For backup — Keep a periodic export as a backup of your customer data
