Upgrades: Yes — you can upgrade from your account portal. Upgrades and add-ons are charged now for the rest of your current billing period and take effect once that charge is paid; if you are billed by invoice, the change is made at once and the charge is invoiced. Add-ons renew with your subscription. During a free trial, an upgrade, an add-on or a switch to yearly billing is charged nothing until the trial ends, and your first charge is at the new price.

Downgrades: We recommend starting with a plan that fits your current needs and upgrading as you grow. Moving to a smaller plan, or removing an add-on, is not self-service: it is a downgrade request that our team reviews. Your locations, machines and storage hold your business data — sales, invoices, inventory and files — so removing one that still has data linked to it would break your records. We check every downgrade first, so some can't be approved — what you use must fit within the limits you would have afterwards. A plan-transfer fee applies, and one plan transfer or add-on removal is allowed every 60 days. Once an add-on removal is approved and its fee is paid, the add-on is removed at the end of your billing period and keeps working until then.

PayPal: PayPal needs 10 days' notice of a price change, so with PayPal a payment due within 10 days is still billed at the old price: an upgrade or add-on charges its difference for that payment now, and an add-on removal keeps the add-on for the period that payment covers.

Important: Downgrades are only possible if your current usage fits within the target plan's limits. For example, if you're currently using 3 locations, you cannot downgrade to a plan that only supports 2 locations. You would need to reduce your usage before requesting a downgrade.

Every plan includes a free trial with full access to all features. You only pay if you decide to continue after the trial ends. Trial length varies by plan.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and PayPal. Enterprise customers can also pay by invoice with NET-30 terms.

Extra machines purchased as add-ons are flexible — you can assign them to any of your locations. For example, if you have 3 locations and buy 2 extra machines, you could put both at one busy location or split them across two locations.

Yes! Yearly plans cost less than twelve monthly payments — up to 10% less, depending on the plan. The yearly price shown is the total annual cost. You can switch from monthly to yearly billing from your account.

A location is any distinct operational site where your business conducts transactions — a retail store, warehouse, distribution center, or office. Each location keeps its own transaction history, inventory, and reports. You can access a location remotely from a different physical address (e.g., managing your store from home), but all activity is recorded under that location. You only need additional locations when you require separate transaction and inventory tracking per site.

A machine is any computer or device running the AccuArk software. This includes POS terminals, pricing stations, marketing displays, and back-office workstations. Each device that accesses the system must be licensed as a machine. Machines are allocated per location in your plan.
