FAQ: How do I set up email for a specific location?
Prerequisites
Before location email works:
- Global email must be enabled in system settings
- "Allow Location Override" must be turned on in global settings
Quick Steps
- Open the location for editing (Program → Locations → double-click)
- Click the Email tab
- Check "Use location-specific email settings"
- Enter your SMTP server, port, username, and password
- Enter the "From" address and display name
- Click Test Email to verify the settings work
- Click Save & Close
If the Email Tab is Grayed Out
You will see the message: "Location email override is disabled by global settings."
Ask your system administrator to enable "Allow Location Override" in the global email settings (Settings → Email Configuration).
