Why can't I see certain payment buttons on my POS?
If payment buttons (like Credit Card, Apple Pay, or Split Payment) are not showing on your POS screen, there are a few possible reasons:
- The payment method is not enabled — Your administrator needs to turn it on in Machine Settings → Payments & Accounts → Payment Methods. Each payment method has its own checkbox.
- No balance due — Payment buttons are disabled when the invoice has no outstanding balance (it's already paid or empty).
- The invoice is cancelled — Payment buttons don't appear on voided/cancelled invoices.
- Digital payment requires a processor — Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH, and BNPL require a compatible payment processor (like Stripe). If no processor is configured, these buttons won't appear.
- Split Payment is disabled — The Split Payment option requires the "Allow Split Payments" setting to be checked in Machine Settings.
Ask your administrator to review the Machine Settings for your POS machine.
