How do I open the cash drawer without a sale?
To open the cash drawer without processing a transaction (a "no-sale" open):
- Go to the Action Menu (bottom-left corner of the POS status bar)
- Click Open Cash Drawer
- The drawer opens
This is useful for making change, adding starting cash, or counting during a shift.
Note: The no-sale drawer opening is logged in the shift activity for accountability. A cash drawer must be connected and configured in Machine Settings for this to work.
