How to Run an X-Report (Shift Summary)

How to Run an X-Report (Shift Summary)

The X-Report is a detailed summary of all activity during your current shift. Unlike a Z-Report (which closes the shift), the X-Report is read-only and does not end your shift.

How to Generate an X-Report

  1. Go to the Action Menu (bottom-left of the POS status bar)
  2. Click X-Report (or Shift Summary)
  3. The report generates and displays

Other Information:

Permission Required

You need the View Shift Report permission to access the X-Report.

Tips

  • Use the X-Report to do a mid-shift cash count — compare your actual cash to the "Expected Cash" amount
  • Print the X-Report before checking out so you have a reference while counting
  • The X-Report can be generated multiple times without affecting your shift
  • For historical shift reports, use the Reports → POS Shifts area in the main application
