Machine Settings: Customer Facing Display (CFD)
The Customer Facing Display (CFD) shows information to the customer on a secondary screen during a sale. This is typically a small monitor or tablet facing the customer at the checkout.
Setting Up the CFD
Go to Machine Settings → POS Settings → Customer Facing Display:
- Check Enable CFD to turn on the customer-facing display
- Select the CFD Screen — choose which monitor to use (Screen 1, Screen 2, etc.)
- Select a CFD Theme to set the visual style:
- DarkModern — Dark background with modern styling (default)
- LightClean — Light background, clean and minimal
- BrandColors — Uses your brand colors
What the Customer Sees
During a Sale:
- The items being added to the sale (scrolling list)
- Running total and payment amount
- Change due (for cash payments)
When Idle (No Active Sale): The display shows content based on the Idle Mode setting:

Idle Mode Settings
| Setting | Description |

| CFD Idle Mode | Choose between Text Message, Image Slideshow, or Marketing Slideshow |
| Idle Message Text | The text to display in Text Message mode (default: "Welcome!") |
| Slideshow Folder | The path to the folder containing slideshow images |
| Slideshow Interval | How many seconds each image displays before advancing (range: 2-120 seconds, default: 5) |
Requirements
- A secondary monitor must be connected to the POS computer
- The monitor must be detected by Windows (check Display Settings)
- The CFD screen index must be correctly selected in settings
Tips
- Use high-quality images (recommended: 1920×1080) for the slideshow
- Keep the idle message short and friendly
- Test the CFD after configuration to ensure it displays correctly
- The CFD updates in real time as items are added and payments are processed
